Unpleasant Truths   top
Security is hard!
There is no perfect security!

The internet is a big place and there are countless entities with murky intentions, lots of time, deep pockets, big brains and superfast hardware at their disposal.

If you have been following any news at all, then you are aware that it is almost hopeless to keep your data secure and private, especially when it is in digital form and floating around the internet - I mean, once it leaves your device, you don't know where it goes or what is happening to it.

So what can one do? One can take steps to make it as hard as possible for any 'entities' to gain access to your private information. The safest bet to keep your information to yourself (once it leaves your brain) is encryption.

CerebraLock is an attempt to keep your information secure on your device. 'Attempt' may not sound too reassuring, but unfortunately anything you do and use is an attempt - successful only until you read otherwise in the news (or on your bank statement) - if it is even made public.

No one can guarantee your information to be safe.

A Ray of Hope   top
So this is all pretty bleak, but it's the world we live in. Here is what I can and do promise you:

•  “I'm just a soul whose intentions are good. Oh Lord, please don't let me be misunderstood!”
•  I believe firmly and absolutely that you have a right to keep your private information private and secure.
•  this app is my best effort to secure your data. Time will tell how it holds up.
•  there are no hidden backdoors and no intentional weaknesses or vulnerabilities. There is no 'phoning home' or other shenanigans going on behind your back.
•  I thank you for your trust (and support) - I do not take either one lightly.

Please see Security Features about what CerebraLock can do for you and what not Security Features: Remaining Concerns.
